I'm Bryan Frenette, and I'm a PhD student in Biology at Kansas State University studying the ecology of freshwater fishes.

My research focuses on understanding the processes that govern patterns of abundance and distribution of freshwater fishes to better inform conservation efforts. Understanding interactions between biotic and abiotic aspects of freshwater systems is fundamental to their preservation. Thus, my research endeavors to link mechanistic responses to environmental factors at the organism level to broader ecological processes.

Since my work ultimately can inform best practices concerning conservation issues facing species of freshwater fish, I can actively collaborate with relevant government agencies and conservation NGOs.
